Simon Wicks made his first appearance 8 October 1985. He is portrayed by Nick Berry.

Simon Wicks was born on the 7 July 1965 in Walford to Pat Beale who was still married to Pete Beale at the time of Simon's birth but she was seeing 3 other men at the same time, Kenny Beale, Brian Wicks and Den Watts. Pat was never 100% sure who Simon's father was but assumed it was Brian. In 1966 when Simon was 1 year old, Pete and Pat broke up and she then married her lover Brian Wicks who adopted Simon and his older brother David Wicks. Pete was the father of Pat's eldest son David but was probably not the father of Simon. When Pete and Pat broke up, Pete still believed he was Simon's blood father and was not to know the possibility that he was not until years later.

Simon is the young brother of David Wicks and the son of Pat Evans and Brian Wicks/Kenny Beale. In 1976 when Simon was eleven he and his family were forced to leave Walford due to David's rivalry with Derek Branning.

New character and new baby son for proud parents Pete and Pat he arrived and idolised his mother and lived with her for a while until he grew up into a reformed man. He arrived in Albert Square in 1985 and got a job at The Queen Victoria. He was later told by his mother that she believed Brian was his real father. Simon later had a one night stand with Cindy and this lead him to leave the square with new wife and baby Steven Beale in 1990. Simon later settled in New Zealand.

In January 2012, Simon paid a visit to his mums grave the night of her funeral. He placed the flowers on the grave and then walked away into the night.
