Matthew Evans directed 18 episodes of EastEnders from December 1989 to September 1990 and from March 1992 to October 1992.
EastEnders was Matthew's first proper taste in directing and it set him off to a good career. He's directed many high-profile shows them most notably being four episodes of The Bill, three episodes of Heartbeat, two episodes of Silent Witness, eight episodes of Waterloo Road, nine episodes of Young Dracula, five episodes of The Dumping Ground and a few episodes of Holby City and Casualty. Other credits include Interference, Rebus and Robin Hood.
