The Laundrette formally Bridge Street Launderette is where the families go to wash their clothes as they don't have washing machines at home. In Episode 14 (4th April 1985) Pauline Fowler is heard saying the Launderette's telephone number "503 8026" presumably as its London it would be "020 503 8026".
The Laundrette contains 6 Washing Machines, 2 Tumble Dryers and 1 Spin Dryer.
The cost of washing your clothes in Launderette in 2010 was £9. The current owner of the Laundrette as of 2016 is Apostulous Papadopolous.
Smoking has been banned in the Launderette since 2007. Dot was given her notice 12 December 2016 and the launderette will close Christmas Eve 2016.
