After the deal falls through Jonah has some of henchman throw a smoke bomb through Phil's house, Sam hires policeman Jack Branning to scare Jonah off (which works).

Sam blames all this on Jonah.

Jonah returns on 12 July 2022 for what he initially believes is a business meeting with Phil, who had just been released from prison and had been informed of Sam's attacks on his family (which he believed was Jonah). Sam manages to inform Jonah that Phil believes he has been tormenting his family and warns Jonah that Phil will most likely attack him when he sees him. Jonah goes to the The Queen Victoria to meet Phil and tells Phil that he has helped clean Phil stolen money, Phil asks Jonah if he was helping when he robbed his family and shot Sam, Phil then throws a barstool at Jonah which misses and threatens to kill Jonah if he ever returns to Walford.

Jonah then meets Sam and agrees not to tell Phil what Sam has done on the condition that Sam allows his henchman to deal drugs in Peggy's, to which Sam agrees. After Zack Hudson catches one of Jonah's dealer dealing drugs, Zack apprehends the dealer and the dealer is arrested. A furious Jonah then turns up at Peggys and grabs Sam around the face and threatens to kill her if this happens again. Phil eventually finds out that Sam has been allowing dealers to deal drugs in Peggy's and fires her, Sam tell Jonah that he can no longer deal drugs in Peggy's until she regains Phil's trust. Despite being angry Jonah agrees to withhold dealing drugs in Peggy's any further.

Jonah returns in October to confront Sam for not paying him the money she owed him from the drug deals at Peggy's, Jonah grabs her arm and warns her he is not someone she forgets to pay. However, Phil spots Jonah and gives Jonah a beating and orders him to leave. As revenge for the beating Jonah orders his henchman to steal from Peggy's and orders them to give Sam a beating, however the henchman sneak into the office and mistake Lola Pearce for Sam and attack her. Lola manages to escape and alert all the people in Peggy's and Phil, Billy Mitchell and Jay Brown manage to take the henchmen down and when Jonah realises his men haven't returned he goes into Peggy's, takes a bat from Kat Slater and threatens everyone in there. However, Alfie Moon sneaks up on Jonah and punches him, knocking him out. Jonah and his henchmen are then arrested by police.
