Walford Market Office is located on Turpin Road, it serves as the place where traders can go to request or pay for a pitch. Currently the office is managed by Bob Lister and the market inspector is Honey Mitchell.
Storylines[]
In February 2014, Masood Ahmed robbed money from there during his downwards spiral.
Aleks and his ex-wife (Marta Shirovs) then shared a passionate moment after not seeing each-other for a year.
Tamwar discovered that Aleks has been collecting additional money from traders and passing it off as an additional council fee, Tamwar discovered this when he did the Financial Report for the last three months (14 April 2015). Tamwar the next day confronted Alek and he just told Tamwar he was fired. Tamwar then sent an email to the council with the evidence and Walford Council fired Aleks and called the Police (16 April 2015).
Nancy Carter contacted Walford Council and arranged a meeting for Tamwar so he could discuss becoming the Market Inspector, they made him the Acting Market Inspector and Tamwar was delighted and reasserted his authority to Donna Yates, who had previously undermined it that day (17 April 2015).
Bob Lister is assumed to be the current Market Inspector as he introduces a new market stall holder (Leo King) to Martin Fowler and Whitney Dean on 7 January 2020. This is until December 2021 where he interviews both Martin Fowler and Stacey Slater. Martin is made market inspector on 31 December 2021, but he declines the job and tells Mr Lister to make Stacey the inspector, and he does since it's mentioned she got the job on 4 January 2022. Unhappy with the role, Stacey decides to quit and Honey Mitchell is announced as the new market inspector on 7 February 2022.
