Summary[]
Nigel and Debbie go off to see a solicitor. Pat tells David the truth about Frank's disappearance. Kool for Kuts is almost ready for opening, but Steve isn't entirely sure about Della's commitment to the business. Arthur is in trouble as his car has had no M.O.T. or insurance. At the hospital, Michelle is upset about her situation, and she questions her future in Walford.

Della hires her friend, Dixie, to wash hair at the salon. David is in disbelief when Pat tells him that the police think Frank has run away because he instigated the fire at the car lot for insurance money. Having agreed to work for Lee, Phil starts working on a car he delivers. The salon opens for business. Steve feels they need to promote their new business so hands flyers out, only to be stopped by Grant for distributing them in the Vic. Debbie apologises to Nigel for upsetting him. She anticipates Liam will fight dirty for Clare. The pair head to see a solicitor together. Arthur turns to Phil and admits his car had not been MOT'd. He asks him what may happen to him when the police find out. Sharon is distressed to learn from Grant that Dougie was loose again after the siege. A policeman visits Arthur at Number 45 because his failure to hand over the necessary legal documents after the crash. Pat turns to Ian for a potential £1500 loan. After listening in on Arthur and the policeman's conversation, Nellie forces Arthur to tell Pauline that he had not MOT'd the car. Sharon and Vicki visit Michelle in hospital. Michelle loses her temper with Sharon upon learning she took Vicki back to the Vic after the siege and makes it clear wants nothing more to do with her or Grant's relationship. Debbie feels more confident after the meeting with the solicitor. Della invites her friends over to the salon for free haircuts. Steve drags her outside and has words with her. Pauline is furious with Arthur for not having the car MOT'd. Arthur heads to the hospital to confide in Michelle. She cries in his arms at her own problems. Dixie suggests to Della and Steve they start listening to each other more. Michelle admits to Arthur that she does not want Vicki growing up in Walford and is sick of always being kicked in the teeth. She wants more for Vicki. Arthur insists he understands what she is ranting about and cradles her in his arms as he encourages her to fight her problems. |
