Summary[]
Sanjay thinks Gita's sister is up to no good. Mandy and Aidan are struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but bag themselves a job in First Til' Last. Christine hits a low point when her husband Greg returns and threatens her with a nasty divorce.
Sanjay walks Frieda. Tricky Dicky thinks he saw Phil walking her earlier and, to ensure he does not hook onto the fact its a different dog, claims she needs a lot of exercise. Meena returns to the Square to see Gita. Aidan and Mandy have made up, but Aidan wants them to get a job and start earning properly. Christine arrives at a showroom to see Greg. Sharon buys Vicki a bicycle. Meena brings good news to Gita: their mother is out of hospital. Christine hands Greg the divorce papers that his solicitor sent her. She begs him not to take the house, but he tells her his mind has been made up. Aidan and Mandy ask Grant for a job at the Vic but he rejects them straight up because they are scruffy. Arthur catches Pauline heading to the launderette and tries to stop her so they can talk. She refuses to have anything to do with him. Tricky Dicky then gets onto him for not moving boxes on Turpin Road when requested. Michelle tries to reason with Pauline but has no success. Pauline reminds her that it is her and Arthur's wedding anniversary tomorrow and she will not miss it. Christine embarrasses Greg with her desperation so he asks her to leave. Aidan and Mandy turn to Kathy for a job but she will not give them one either. Meena tells Sanjay that she and Gita are heading back over to India with their mother. Sanjay panics because he wants her in the Square to help run the market. Tricky Dicky catches Nigel with who he thinks is Delilah. Nigel almost lets slip it is a different dog but redeems himself. He then notices Clare stood outside the shop and takes her to the café to talk. Aidan and Mandy help Mrs. Andreos in the shop and suggest she takes them on. She agrees to talk to Mr. Papadopoulos to see what they can do for them. Michelle is in disbelief after seeing what Sharon has bought Vicki. She feels bad as she cannot pay her back. Nigel takes Clare back to Debbie. Christine heads to the allotment to find Arthur sat alone. She tells him she has lost the house and then cries in his arms, unsure what she is going to do. |
