Summary[]
Mark talks with Mandy about her relationship with Aidan. She wants to see him. The Taverniers receive a visitor and Arthur is jealous when Pauline is given a new dress from Danny.

Aidan contemplates life at Number 45. He receives post, but is reluctant to open it. Hattie wants to make a speech at her and Steve's wedding, despite Steve not wanting her to make one. She then suggests they sleep apart until their wedding day. Dot prays for Aidan at church and makes snappy remarks at Mandy over his condition. Mandy fights back. Gidea Thompson bumps into Clyde whilst looking for Number 27. Clyde shows her inside and learns they are related - distant cousins. Jules is introduced to her and shows her around the Square. Aidan opens his post - it is his compensation money. He feels lost and unsure where to go next. Mandy wants to see Aidan but is stopped again. Arthur asks Aidan if he would like to go back to Ireland. Aidan decides he wants to go back. Danny turns up at Number 45 with a present for Pauline - it is a new dress. Gidea is introduced to Hattie and Steve. She asks to stay at Number 27 for one night when she has to leave her other residence. Clyde suggests that she share a room with Hattie. Arthur walks in and catches Pauline with the dress Danny bought her on. Jealousy overwhelms him and he demands she takes it off - they quibble. Aidan packs his suitcase to go before bed. Mandy decides she is going to see Aidan, no matter what. She sneaks into his bedroom through the window and tells him that she loves him. She sees the suitcase in the corner of the room and is deeply upset when he admits he is going home. He tells her he will write to her, but she tells him not to bother and leaves, crying. |
