Mick tells a delighted Nancy that she can be landlady of the Queen Vic for a day for her 21st.However, ignoring Linda’s wishes for the night to be family only, Nancy calls over some friends and Linda is left anxious over whether Dean will make an appearance.
There’s further tension for the Carters when Lee overhears Dexter chatting about Linda’s page-three modelling days and immediately sees red.
Mick and Stan then step in to help calm the situation down by bringing in a birthday cake with flowers.
The cake brings back terrible memories for Linda, however, and she finally snaps – screaming at them all to get out…
Across the square, Ian confronts Emma about her affair with Max and makes it clear that her help is no longer needed. Later, as Keeble waits for Emma the police station, Emma arrives and breaks down. She explains that her job means everything to her, but will Emma be able to keep it?
Meanwhile, Ian is put under interrogation by a confused Peter after Mick tells him that he covered for Ian about Rainie due to the timing – which would have made him look bad.
A horrified Peter realises that Ian and Rainie were together on Good Friday – the night of Lucy’s death. Later, Max persuades Peter to meet his father at the funeral home so they can view Lucy’s hdeadstone but will the pair begin to see eye to eye?
Also today, Charlie lends Ronnie a helping hand at her house to make room for the baby, and there is clearly chemistry between them.
