Summary[]
As the residents of Walford prepare a memorial service for Garry, Dawn is finally forced to confront her true feelings for him. Ian's romantic evening takes a surprising turn.
Phil suggests they hold Garry’s memorial service in the Vic. Dawn realises she’ll have to make a speech and worries about what to say. Callum asks her out, but she rejects him. At the service, Libby thinks Janine’s after Darren. Chelsea tells her Janine used to be a prostitute. At home, Dot prays for Dawn and is shocked when she looks out the window and sees Garry. Garry spots the posters for the memorial service and sneaks into the Vic. He listens to the speeches, revealing himself after Dawn says she loved him. Ian finds everyone working and dancing in the unit. They decide on a new name for the company ‘Masala Queen’, Ian’s opinion doesn’t count. Ian tells Jane he’s nearly forty and has nothing to show for it. Zainab thinks Tamwar’s got a girlfriend when his phone rings and he rushes off, but Tamwar tells the caller not to phone again. Jane’s prepared a candlelight dinner for Ian. They watch the DVD she’s borrowed even though it’s a porn film. Ian wants Jane to do something for his fortieth and whispers it to her. She hurriedly leaves for book club. Ricky and Bianca nervously wait for the DNA results. It’s half term and Ricky’s left to look after Bianca’s kids and Dotty, whilst trying to run the cab firm. Ricky leaves Whitney in charge and goes to Garry’s memorial service. Dotty and Liam make Tiffany play with the switch and later blame Tiffany. Tiffany runs away, meets Garry and screams. Libby’s annoyed when she discovers Darren’s working for Janine. However, Darren’s excited when Janine reveals they are going to sell cars and he’s on commission. A homeless woman, Pearl, comes in to the chip shop, but Ian makes Lucas throw her out. |
