Summary[]
Money in the Miller house is tighter than ever and Rosie is forced to ask Chrissie for extra work. Sonia pleads with Martin to visit Chloe with her but he refuses. Little Mo tries to help Alfie out by covering for him on the stall, but Alfie soon gets a shock when he realises that she has sold some of his stock at a much lower price.
Juley's irritated when Daryl wants payment for the jewellery. He points out that it's stolen. Daryl replies that Juley owes him one. Meanwhile, Mickey's cross to find that Juley isn't on the stall. Ruby apologises to Stacey but she's not interested. Danny suggests that she buys a gift as a peace-offering. Ruby's doubtful but buys a bracelet from Juley. Rosie snaps at Pat in the Vic. Pat's affronted but sees what a state Rosie's in. She explains that the bookies is re-opening and offers Rosie work handing out flyers. Rosie accepts gratefully. Alfie loses a tooth biting into an apple. Little Mo insists that he visits the dentist to get it fixed. She assures him that she can cope on the stall. Alfie looks uneasy but leaves her to it. Mickey lays into Juley when he arrives at the stall two hours late. Mickey criticises him for not taking their livelihood seriously. Juley doesn't like his tone and flounces off. Yolande finds Patrick brooding. The re-opening of the bookies has reminded him of Paul's death. Yolande urges him to move on and gives him cash to place a bet. Patrick appreciates her kindness. Sonia lures Martin home to chat. She admits nervously that she wants to see Chloe again. Sonia believes that the child needs her. Martin can't see where it's going to end. He storms off in frustration. Pauline taunts Rosie about Keith being idle. Rosie makes her realise that Arthur wasn't perfect either. Rosie apologises for accusing her of reporting them. Pauline softens and agrees to take some flyers. Little Mo's in high spirits when Alfie returns. She's sold loads. He hides his disappointment when he discovers that she's under-priced items. Alfie's sad to hear that Little Mo's planning to visit Lynne. Charlie calls the school to discuss Stacey's absence. They tell him that she should not be working at her age. Later, he informs Yolande that she's employed Stacey illegally. Stacey's gutted when Yolande sacks her. Ruby shows Danny the bracelet that she bought for Stacey. It's already broken. Danny kicks up a stink at Mickey's stall and the market inspector intervenes. Mickey compensates Ruby with a necklace. Demi loses control when she sees Stacey. She grabs a bucket of flowers and drenches her with water. The two girls scream insults at each other and start to fight. Rosie rushes out to break up the scrap. Rosie drops her flyers and scrabbles on the ground for them. Mickey comforts his mum and sends Demi home. Stacey scarpers. Pat appears and frowns in disappointment at Rosie. Stacey blames Ruby for the Millers' vendetta against her. Ruby makes her peace offering but Stacey knocks her back. Ruby posts the gift through the door and Stacey unwraps it. Sonia pleads with Martin to visit Chloe with her. She wants them to do it together. Martin's convinced that what she's doing is wrong. He refuses to discuss the matter further. Rosie's distraught. She feels that she's defending her family's reputation alone. Mickey arrives looking crushed. He's lost his stall because of Juley's knock-off gear. The Millers are devastated. |
