Summary[]
Sonia is aghast when Pauline gives her a tacky garter to wear at the wedding and she and Martin end up bickering over plans. The rehearsal goes wrong and the couple decide to do the wedding themselves, leaving Pauline a message. She is upset. Pat confides in Den that Wilfred has conned her out of all her money. He tries to track him down, but is unsuccessful. He pretends that he's found him, however, and gives Pat £1000. Adi is determined to get the house back, but the rest of the family want to move on. Meanwhile, Tariq notices Gus' pool talent and thinks he should be a hustler. Alfie and Kat continue to argue.
Kat's worried about Nana, but feels that Alfie's being over-protective. Nana declines an invitation to join Kat in the bar. She leaves Nana to wallow in memories of her late husband.Pat calls the police in to discuss Wilfred's scam. She admits that she didn't use a solicitor for their business dealings. The cops can't help her as Wilfred didn't obtain money by deception. Sonia's pushed to breaking point by Dot and Pauline's interfering. She storms out of Pauline's food tasting. Martin reckons that if they can survive the wedding rehearsal, they'll be fine.Kat attempts to talk frankly with Alfie. Nana's heartache has made her realise how lucky they are to have each other. Alfie doesn't respond. He urges Kat to go out with Zoe and Kelly.
Sonia's at the end of her tether. Dot and Pauline are ruining her wedding. Martin reminds her that getting married is the most important thing. He promises to do what's best for her. Kat's tiddly after drinking with the girls. She's feeling saucy and propositions Alfie. However, he just fobs her off with excuses. Kat decides that she might as well go out if he's not interested. Den spins Pat a cock and bull story about his mates finding Wilfred. He bungs her £1000, claiming that Wilfred had lost the rest. Pat's suspicious, but takes the money anyway. Sonia and Martin exit the Square in a cab. Martin leaves Pauline a message explaining that they want to get married on their own terms. Pauline grabs at the phone, but she's too late. |
