Summary[]

Sam has shattering news for Laura, Adi can't accept Tariq into the family, and JJ's actions shock Patrick and Yolande.

Laura tries to negotiate a pay rise with Sam but, with the cafe not doing well, it's up to Laura to increase the profits and prove her worth. A Cockney grub night is a roaring success and she plans more of the same, until Sam delivers some devastating news - Ian is the cafe's new owner!

Patrick jokes around with JJ. He enjoys having the lad around but, when left alone, JJ sneaks Yolande's necklace from her bag. Paul is increasingly suspicious about JJ and tips off social services that he's been stealing from Patrick and Yolande. The social services officer reveals that he's a runaway and defensive about his past, with the result that JJ takes off again.

Tariq meets with a counsellor to discuss his impending operation and is told to seek support from his family. Adi, however, is determined that Tariq will never be part of their family, despite Ash's best efforts. Later, Tariq numbs his pain with booze and smashes Dan's records in front of Adi. He lunges at Tariq who then reminds him that his kidney's needed by Ronny.
