Summary[]
Arthur helps Sanjay out on the market, so Sanjay lets him have a dress of his choice to gift to Pauline. Kathy and Phil discover the café has been broken into. Robbie's argumentative behaviour causes Carol concern and she asks Alan to talk to him.

Sharon counts the tills - they are £20 down. She and Grant limit the suspects to Della and Steve, convinced Pat would not steal from them. Della turns up late for work, and Steve is deeply unimpressed with her. Meena is kicked out by Jerry so returns to the Square to make amends with Gita. She is unable to find Gita but manages to catch Sanjay, who does not think her being around is a good idea. Pauline tries on the dress Arthur has picked out for her and loves it. Jules visits Blossom at Number 25 and entices her out to the Vic for a couple of drinks. A customer is dissatisfied with Sanjay upon learning he has given an £80 dress he kept back for her away, and he rushes to Number 45 to try and retrieve the dress from Arthur, but is unable to as Pauline already has it on. Arthur agrees to talk to Pauline to try and get it back off of her. Della confides in Sharon over Steve. Alan and Carol start to question whether or not Robbie was involved in the café break-in. They choose to ground him as a precaution and because of his attitude, Carol leaves it to Alan to break the news to Robbie. Alan does, but Robbie winds him up so he thumps him and sends him to his bedroom. Arthur's attempts at getting the dress off of Pauline go awry. Della has drinks at the Vic with Binnie. Grant and Sharon keep a close eye on her and Steve. Carol goes to see Robbie in his bedroom upon returning home and finds a note - he has run away. Sanjay invites Meena over to his bedsit to talk and then tries it on with her; she pushes him away and reminds him he is to blame for everything that has happened to her. |
