When Danielle was at school she played Jan in the stage production Grease.
Danielle was revealed as Ronnie Mitchell's Daughter, Amy. When she finally told Ronnie this, Ronnie was ready to believe her father, Archie Mitchell. When Ronnie discovered the locket in her glass, she realised the truth about her father and then went to apologise to her long-lost daughter. When Ronnie first found Danielle, she called her her "baby". Danielle was ready to accept her apology when she was accidentally ran over by Janine Butcher, and killed she died in her mother's arms on the 2nd April 2009. Her adoptive father Andy Jones looked after her since she was little but her adoptive mother died when she was little. Her best friend was Stacey Slater.
Despite Danielle's death, it has been said that the door is still open, that Lauren Crace may come back one day, and that one day Danielle may very well return to EastEnders for a very long time to get the happy times she deserves with Ronnie.
Ronnie gave birth to Danielle when she was just 14. Her malevolent father, Archie, forced Ronnie to give her up, and convinced her that she was dead. Timid, and scared of rejection, Danielle didn't show many signs of being a Mitchell. She constantly looked to best friend Stacey for guidance, but all she ever wanted was to be accepted and loved by her mum.
An unplanned pregnancy and abortion helped her grow close to Ronnie. She set out to reveal her true identity at evil grandad Archie's wedding. Unfortunately Danielle met a sudden end in 2009 under the wheels of Janine Butcher's car, shortly after Ronnie discovered her secret. She died in her mother's arms.
