Claudette Hubbard made her first appearance on the 12th of March 2015. She is the mother of Vincent Hubbard and the foster mother of established character Donna Yates. Claudette has been billed as "Walford's steely matriarch with many ties to Albert Square's residents". A tough talking character by nature, She's set to stir up things in the Square. Beneath her beaming smile lies many twisted secrets....
Claudette was born in Walford on the 12th March 1956 to Jamaican parents. She married Henry Hubbard and had a son Vincent Hubbard in about 1975. In 1981 Walford Council was expanding the Spring Lane estate. Claudette and Henry were arguing. Henry went onto the balcony for a cigarette. Claudette then pushed him over the edge and then she buried him on the Spring Lane estate. She tried to say that he was killed by his rival Eric Mitchell. Claudette worked in a bar and said she knew Kathy Beale. Claudette was a foster mother who took in children from troubled backgrounds such as Donna Yates.
In March 2015, Claudette was revealed to be having an affair with Les Coker (who was cheating on his wife, Pam). Les bought her a necklace for her birthday. Later that week they secretly met up to have another date. It was also revealed that Les and Claudette had both went on holiday to the same place, with Pam believing it was just a coincidence.
Claudette was later revealed as Donna's foster mum. She mentioned that she knew Pam & Les for a while and needs to have a good catch up with the couple.
On May the 5th 2015, Donna met up with her foster-brother, Vincent, and mentioned that he needs to keep in better contact with his mum, Claudette.
