Critics Review[]
Ian Hyland from the Sunday Mirror said that Boots was "Shirley's pointless cat". He quipped the only reason that they were introduced was that Jim Branning could shout "pussy" around Albert Square.
Ru Green of the Coventry Evening Telegraph branded Boots going missing as a "sub-standard plot lines to fill the time".
Jim Shelley from the Daily Mirror questioned whether it was the "worst soap storyline ever written". He also felt that it made EastEnders horrible to watch.
